I recently stumbled upon this.

Apparently, this building, which is the 22nd largest in the world, is situated in North Korea and has been vacant for the last 20 years. You can see how it absolutely dominates the skyline. I also understand that the government there often “hides” the building by removing it from photos or other publications.
There is also a bizarre website ryugyong.org where you can view 3-D versions of the building and stake your own “claim” to sections of it. I take some small comfort in knowing that despite our own government waste, we are not the “top of the pyramid” (pun intended).
